Stocking
Glass packs or crates should be stored at an angle of 5 ° from the vertical. When the crates start to slope, no more stocking should be done and that time should be emptied as soon as possible.
Packages or crates should not be stored outdoors. Humidity and temperature conditions should be stored in a suitable and closed environment. For ideal storage, a temperature of 9-25 ° C, humidity below 70% is recommended. Packages or crates in stock must be protected from water such as rain and snow that will cause windows to get wet. Glass that gets wet in stock has a high corrosion risk. For this reason, if the glass plates get wet in any way, they should be cleaned before they dry.
While glass packages are loaded and unloaded on the stands, the packages should be stacked and / or unloaded evenly on both sides of the stand.
It is recommended to use only rubberized wooden stock wedges in jumbo pack stocking.
A wooden or metal (with rubber) stock wedge should be used for machine size and split stocking.
Feeding should be done with rubber parts to tolerate the level differences between the stand legs and the stock wedge caused by the ground.
Wooden wedges should be made of hornbeam or beech, which are baked.
Packages with broken and cracked plates should not be stocked.
Washing
The hardness of the water to be used in washing the glasses should be at most 5 ° Fr hardness and between 6 - 8 pH. The electrical conductivity of the washing water; It is recommended to be less than 1 µS / cm for glasses to be coated outside of line and 30 µS / cm for insulating glass. The brushes used in the washing machine must be soft enough not to scratch the glass. The water on the glass should be removed before drying with an air knife.
Transport / Handling (internal use)
Glass packs or crates should be transported at an angle of 5 ° from the vertical, not horizontal.
Outdoor transports should be carried out with closed vehicles that are protected against wetting and dust.
There should be no cracked or broken glass in the package. Cracked or broken glass can scratch the glass in front and behind it as well as cause serious work accidents.
Glass packs must step on rubber and felt ground. It should not come into direct contact with metal or wood.
Suitable powder or paper separators should be used between glass plates. Unsuitable reagent materials can cause scratches, chips, cracking and corrosion on the glass. If paper is used as a separator material, the pH of the paper should be between 5.5 and 7, without ash.
All reagent materials should be clean and dry.
Loading and transport equipment must not be damaged.
During transportation, packages or crates must be fixed to the transport vehicle.
The loading and unloading of the packages or crates on the transportation vehicle should be done with the apparatuses suitable for the packaging type of the glass. Unsuitable apparatus can cause work accidents and glass breakage. Necessary occupational safety measures should be taken before removing the glass packaging.
Cutting
Proper cutting relay, cutting oil and cutting pressure should be used.
After cutting, the glass should be torn off without waiting.
The surfaces of the cutting tables must be smooth and clean.
All sides of the glass plate to be cut must be at the same temperature. Glass that is exposed to the sun on one side and heated may not be cut properly due to temporary stresses.
After cutting, the glass should be torn without waiting.
Cutting and breakage problems occurring in heat treated glasses at temperatures above 480 ° C arise from the secondary processing process.
